Lending & Borrowing
Introduction to Biophilia Lending & Borrowing
What is Biophilia?
Biophilia is a decentralized non-custodial liquidity market protocol where users can engage as suppliers or borrowers. Suppliers contribute liquidity to the market to generate passive income, while borrowers have the opportunity to borrow in either an overcollateralized (perpetual) or undercollateralized (one-block liquidity) manner.

Why Biophilia?
Biophilia Protocol has undergone audits and is secured. The protocol is entirely open source, allowing individuals to interact through a user interface client, API, or directly with the smart contracts on the Ethereum network. Its open-source nature empowers users to create third-party services or applications to interact with the protocol and enhance their products.
How do I engage with Biophilia protocol?
To interact with the Biophilia protocol, simply supply your chosen asset and amount. Upon supplying, you'll earn passive income based on the market's borrowing demand. Moreover, supplying assets enables you to borrow by using your supplied assets as collateral. Any interest earned by supplying funds helps offset the interest rate accumulated through borrowing.
What is the cost of interacting with Biophilia protocol?
Engaging with the protocol involves transactions and, therefore, transaction fees for Ethereum Blockchain usage, which depend on the network status and transaction complexity.
Where are my supplied funds stored?
Your funds are allocated in a smart contract. The smart contract code is public, open source, formally verified, and audited by third-party auditors. You can withdraw your funds from the pool on demand or export a tokenized (BiophiliaTokens) version of your lender position. BiophiliaTokens can be moved and traded like any other cryptographic asset on Ethereum.
Address Screening
Why is my wallet blocked from using Biophilia?
We receive blockchain intelligence provided by [Service Name]. [Service Name] combines on-chain data and real-world investigations to identify financial crime and other prohibited activities. This data blocks wallets from app.biophilia.com that are associated with certain legally prohibited conduct.
If you believe your address has been incorrectly flagged, please contact [Support Contact].
What information is shared with [Service Name] Labs?
Your address is shared with [Service Name], but no metadata is tracked or shared. The request from the UI is routed to the Biophilia hosted API, which is used as a proxy endpoint, and the address is passed directly through to the [Service Name] service. Users' IP addresses are not shared with [Service Name].
Is there any risk?
No platform can be considered entirely risk-free. The risks associated with the Biophilia platform include smart contract risk (the risk of a bug within the protocol code) and liquidation risk (risk in the collateral liquidation process). Every possible step has been taken to minimize the risk as much as possible — the protocol code is public and open source, and it has undergone audits. Additionally, there is an ongoing live and running [Risk Mitigation Mechanism].
